Latin America, Mexico, ca. 1950s. An attractive bichrome terracotta vessel of a traditional globular form with a short cylindrical neck and a gently flared rim, all supported upon a flat base. The exterior walls are beautifully decorated with elegant floral blooms painted in white on a tawny orange ground. Lengths of sinew cord are skillfully wrapped around the exterior walls. A wonderful example. Size: 12.1" W x 8.3" H (30.7 cm x 21.1 cm)
