The slightly ovoid gem is set in a slightly raised bevel with sloped shoulders and plain band. Size: 1" W x .875" H (2.5 cm x 2.2 cm); US ring size 8.5; silver quality: 92%; weight: 9 grams

Ring tested using XRF technology and shows a silver content of 92%, with other trace metals consistent with items from the Roman period.
