Description:

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A beautiful bright green blown glass jar with an apple-shaped lower body and a long, thin neck terminating in a flat rim. The base has a broken pontil, indicating that it was free blown. The glass includes low relief spiral designs around the body. Age has given its outer surface swirls of an iridescent silvery blue sheen. Size: 4.65" W x 6.5" H (11.8 cm x 16.5 cm)
