Pre-Columbian, culture not identified but probably West Coast Mexico, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. Two triangular pendants, cut from thin skull bones, the cranial sutures fused and visible, each one perforated for suspension, the bone in hues of cream, white, and grey, the versos showing porous textured surfaces. Perhaps used as trophy souvenirs harvested from the enemy during battle or sacrifice rituals. Size: each approximately 1.875" L x 2.375" W (4.8 cm x 6 cm)

Provenance: Ex-Harvey Collection, acquired prior to 1972
