Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Jalisco, Ameca Etzatlan type, Protoclassic Period, ca. 100 BCE to 250 CE. A hand-built pottery female figure of sizable form standing nude atop arched feet. Her body is defined by a protruding belly, globular breasts, and voluptuous thighs while attenuated arms extend down from the rounded shoulders. The face features puffy eyes, a prominent nose adorned with a septum ring, jowly cheeks, and an incised, centrally-parted coiffure. Size: 7.5" W x 11.375" H (19 cm x 28.9 cm)
