Ancient Near East, Holyland, Judea, Deir Samit, Late Bronze Age, ca. 1500 to 1250 BCE. A wonderful pottery flask of traditional lentoid form with a swollen, circular body encircled by a vertical crest, a long, narrow neck, a gently flared rim, and a ribbon-form handle connecting neck to shoulder. Negative-resist banding travels vertically down the body and horizontally around the neck. Size: 7" W x 9.5" H (17.8 cm x 24.1 cm); 10" H (25.4 cm) on included custom stand.
