Description:

Central Europe, Hallstadt Culture / Celtic Tribes, ca. 1000 to 800 BCE. A remarkably preserved Hallstadt tinned bronze spear tip with a hollow tapered socket that bisects the blade to the tip and two pierced holes below the blade on each side, likely for attachment to a spear shaft. This stunningly molded weapon was forged in the Hallstadt area of influence, which spanned from Western Gaul to Central Europe just north of Greece, and was composed of Gallic and Celtic tribes. A fantastic artifact of Celtic warfare, this spear's striking form and marbled bronze and seafoam green patina surface is historical proof that looks can kill. Size: 0.9375" Diameter x 1.25" Width of Spear Head x 6.5" H (2.4 cm x 3.2 cm x 16.5 cm)
