Pre-Columbian, Peru, Chimu, ca. 1100 to 1470 CE. A blackware spouted vessel with a round body and strap handle. Molded around the shoulder are repeated human and zoomorphic designs. The humans, who are probably elites or lords, face forward, while the animals, with long tails, look towards the humans. Both animals and humans have large curved tumis above their heads. Size: 7.25" W x 9.25" H (18.4 cm x 23.5 cm)
