Description:

Northern Italy, Umbria, ca. 6th to 5th century BCE. A wonderful cast-bronze male figure, standing upon delineated feet, wearing an incised garment with both arms outstretched. One hand is open with thumb extended upwards, and the other grasps a scroll or perhaps an offering. The simplistic visage is comprised of a prominent nose, circular eyes, and incised lips, all below a finely-incised coiffure draped down the nape of his neck. Meant as a votive object, this would have been left at an altar or temple as a gift to any number of deities. Custom lucite display stand included. Size: 1.625" W x 2.25" H (4.1 cm x 5.7 cm); 3.5" H (8.9 cm) on included custom stand.
