Description:

Ancient Europe, Spain, Iberian Peninsula, ca. 5th to 4th century BCE. A solid, cast bronze, male figure, standing with upraised arms before his chest, one hand placed over the other as if holding something precious. His solemn visage is comprised of large, almond-shaped eyes, an aquiline nose, and a gentle smile framed by a combed back, chin-length coiffure. He wears a garment or chain mail - finely detailed with rows of repeated chevron motifs. There is an integral loop behind his lower back for suspension or attachment. The figure is covered in lustrous layers of gorgeous green patina. Size: 4.25" H (10.8 cm); 4.5" H (11.4 cm) on included custom stand.
