Description:

Ancient Near East, Islamic, ca. 6th to 8th century CE. A beautiful semi-translucent glass vessel of an olive-green hue with a dimpled base and a rough pontil scar, a spherical body, a narrow neck, and a thick flared spout with a planar rim. The spout, shoulder, and neck of the vessel displays dozens of wispy swirls that gradually widen and trail downwards towards the base, imbuing the exterior with an elegant presentation. Scattered areas of faint silvery and rainbow-hued iridescence accentuate the vessel's earthtone color and make it a lovely example from the ancient Near East! Size: 3.875" W x 4.375" H (9.8 cm x 11.1 cm).
