Description:

Ancient Near East, northwestern Iran, Luristan, ca. 1000 to 600 BCE. A quintet of cast-bronze arrow tips with slender tangs and double-edged blade heads. Two arrow heads exhibit petaloid blades with shallow midribs, and three feature tapered triangular blades with pointed tips. All pieces are covered in thick green and brown patina. Size of largest: 6.6" L x 1" W (16.8 cm x 2.5 cm)

  • Condition: Repair to small area of one edge of one smaller arrow head with petite chips and very light adhesive residue along break lines. All pieces have small losses to tangs and/or blade heads as shown. All pieces have light encrustations and abrasions. Light earthen deposits and nice patina throughout.
