New World, Mexico or possibly Guatemala, ca. late 19th to 20th century CE. A 95% silver pendant composed of three ornate crosses hanging from a fourth cross with an avian form on its cross bar; this hangs from a chain made of linked ovoid silver loops, each loop with a dot of silver at its center. A similar style was adopted by the Zuni as a dragonfly. Size of pendant: 1.4" W x 2.4" H (3.6 cm x 6.1 cm); length of chain: 30.5" L (77.5 cm); 50.6 grams
