Description:

Native American, United States, Archaic to Woodland Period, ca. 8000 BCE to 1000 CE (10000 to 1000 BP). A great collection of projectile points hand-knapped from stone of varying colors. The types of points are as follows from top left to right: Hinds, Durst, Hohokam, Taunton River Bifurcated or LeCroy, Neuberger, Kirk, Rose Springs, Searcy, Agate Basin, Godar, Karnak, and Hardin. It is always interesting to see how different shapes developed from such a seemingly simple process of flaking. Undoubtably these specialized shapes helped various tasks and hunting. Size: 8.5" L x 1.25" W x 10.5" H (21.6 cm x 3.2 cm x 26.7 cm) largest point: 4.25" L x 1" W (10.8 cm x 2.5 cm)
