Native American, Southern to Western United States, Archaic to Woodland period, ca. 8000 BCE to 1600 CE (10000 BP to 400 BP). A fabulous collection of 22 hand-knapped stone tools and projectile points that have varied forms and sizes. The points are made from a matte chert stone in hues of pink, white, red, and gray. The longest point may in fact be a type of knife. Some of the included identifiable types are Hell Gap, Pipe Creek, Figueroa, Bell, Turney, La Jita, Lange, Parman, Snake River, Jora, Meserve, En Medio, and Pelona. This collection beautifully exemplifies the diversity of forms that developed across North America.
