Description:

Europe, France, World War I era, 1915 and 1916 CE. A lovely pair of World War I French brass trench artillery shell cases, of an elegant form, with matching Art Nouveau stippled stylings and sweetheart copper crests that are beautifully engraved with the initials FM and LM, belonging to a romantic couple. The pair will work as serviceable vases. Soldiers have always made remarkable souvenirs during the lulls from the front lines to be kept as mementoes. A wonderful example of this intriguing form of folk art! Size: each measures 3.25" in diameter x 13" H (8.3 cm x 33 cm)
