Oceania, Australia, created by Billy Dulman of the Lambide clan, ca. late 20th century CE. A striking and distinctive bark painting by Aboriginal artist Billy Dulman, who is from the Gunbalanya (Oenpelli) community in west Arnhem Land near the coast of the Northern Territory. The subject of the painting is a nailfish (namarddakka). Size: 8.4" W x 20.25" H (21.3 cm x 51.4 cm)

Provenance: ex-private Tucson, Arizona, USA collection; ex-Ron Perry collection; Ron Perry collected art and artifacts for more than 40 years in New Guinea and the South Pacific. He collaborated with Carolyn Leigh to write a book entitled, "Art Dealer in the Last Unknown: Ron Perry & New Guinea Art: the early years 1964-1972" (2011)
