Greece, ca. 530-510 BCE. Elongated, oval face with large almond-shaped eyes and small mouth forming an Archaic smile. Forehead framed by curls, a veil draped over the top of the head. Slightly worn. Part of a protome or statuette deicated in a sanctuary. 6.8cm H x 4.1cm L x 5.2cm W Provenance: Formerly Coll. Fondation Thétis, Geneva.
