Description:

Ancient Art. Magna Graecia, western colonies, ca. 5th to 4th century BCE. A wonderful, mold-made terracotta figure, elegantly wrapped in a thin himation and standing with her right arm raised to her diadem. Dressed in such refinery, this lady was clearly intended to be the picture of high fashion! Like most examples from this part of the ancient world, she was made from a two part mold, one for the front and one for the back, the front section presenting fine details. A lovely example with a lucite stand. Size: 9.125" H (23.2 cm); 9.375" H (23.8 cm) on included custom stand.
