Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 4th century CE. A wonderful pair of earrings each made from 6 ancient glass beads. The beads are translucent and opaque shades of blue, pearlescent white, and black in spherical, lozenge and ovoid shapes. The beads are strung on modern silver-plated ear hooks and are wearable. These beads certainly showcase ancient glass artistry and are perfect for everyday use! Length of each earring: 2" L (5.1 cm); size of largest bead: 0.75" L x 0.25" W (1.9 cm x 0.6 cm)
