Description:

North America, United States, Colorado, Boulder, ca. mid 20th century CE. A handsome fixed blade hunting knife made by the Western Knife Company. The blade is steel, stamped with the company name and place of manufacture above the steel guard - reading “Western Boulder. Colo. Patd Made in USA”. The handle is stacked with black leather washers that are held in place by the patented 'bifurcated', or split tang construction; the visible metal running down the top and bottom the handle, ending in the pommel. The bifurcated tang strengthens the knife handle and is a distinctive feature of the Western Knife Company. A fine knife that is still usable on a backcountry adventure! Size: 8.375" L (21.3 cm)
