North America, United States, pre-Civil War to Civil War era, ca. 1858 to 1865 CE. A wonderful selection of 35 different types of lead bullets from the American Civil War. Two projectiles are spherical in form while several others exhibit petite conical forms, and the majority have cylindrical bodies, rounded heads, and grooves along the lower halves. Some bullets still retain their casting tangs beneath their bases, and others are hollow on the inside. Each bullet has a typological label indicating the exact type and variant name. Size of largest (Spencer carbine): 1.625" L x 0.6" W (4.1 cm x 1.5 cm); (Riker box): 16.125" L x 12.125" W (41 cm x 30.8 cm)
