Description:

Northern Europe, Viking / Norse culture, ca. 800 to 1100 CE. A gorgeous set of fourteen polychrome Viking-era globular glass beads that have been attached to a filigree-style sterling silver bracelet. Eleven beads are spherical in form, with bodies consisting of either black, coral, or blue colored glass, and feature multi-hued vertical designs. One bead is periwinkle with a thin layer of silvery iridescence, and two additional beads are sapphire-blue in color and have octahedron-shaped bodies. Each bead is secured to a dangling bar by a diminutive circular hoop, with a small loop on one terminal and an S-shaped fastening hook on the other. Bracelet as a whole was fashioned in modern times, and is a stunning and wearable accessory for any admirer of ancient fashion! Size: 7.5" L (19 cm); size of largest bead: 0.3" H (0.8 cm); grade of sterling silver: 92.5% or higher.
