Description:

Native American, North America, Southwest, Anasazi/Homolovi culture, ca. 1200-1300 CE. The Homolovi were Ancestral Pueblo peoples who lived in what is now Arizona from 1250 to 1500 CE. According to Hopi oral tradition, the Homolovi residents then migrated north to join the Hopi in their villages. Homolovi pottery is very rare and to find an example in such impeccable condition is a true delight! This fine cup is painted black and white on orange background, and features three main panels oriented in a pinwheel position, each replete with striking, bold geometric motifs set against linear patterns. 5"D at widest point x 2-3/4"H
