Description:

Central Asia, Bactria-Margiana (BMAC), ca. 1st millennium BCE. A cast bronze pommel with a lead interior, its surface studded with repeated incised concentric circle motifs, and the remains of a bronze or possibly iron tang in one side. The heavy weight of this piece was probably to provide a counterweight to a dagger or short sword. Size: 0.95" W x 0.75" H (2.4 cm x 1.9 cm)
