Native American, US Southwest, ca. mid 20th century CE. A pair of necklaces, each composed almost entirely of disc-shaped brown and black shell heishi beads, one with a pale shark's tooth serving as a pendant. Each has an 85% silver clasp. Length of strand (both are similar): 16.5" L (41.9 cm); size of tooth: 1" W x 1.6" H (2.5 cm x 4.1 cm)

Provenance: private Boulder, Colorado, USA collection, acquired 2020; old Gallup, New Mexico, USA collection, 1970s
