Native American, US Southwest, ca. mid 20th century CE. An elegant, beautifully made necklace, composed of dozens of colorful heishi-shaped, elongated cylindrical beads. They are grouped together by material, creating long bands of uniform colors: turquoise, coral, onyx, and two colors of shell - creamy white and warm brown. Conical sterling silver terminals, each incised with suns and saguaro, complete this wearable piece of Native art. Length of strand: 21" L (53.3 cm); size of one silver cone: 1" H (2.5 cm)
