Pre-Columbian, Mexico, Guerrero, Mezcala, ca 500 to 300 BCE. Three hand-carved and string-cut stone pieces. First, a seated figure w/ an elongated head, its visage delineated w/ expressive features and coiffure, its clasped hands resting on upraised knees, laterally perforated at shoulders for suspension. Size: 2.75" H (7 cm) Next a long-tailed zoomorphic figure carved from a greenstone w/ dark green inclusions. Size: 3.875" L (9.8 cm) Finally, a bird head with a long extended body, carved from a grey-green stone, perforated behind the head. Size: 4.625" L (11.7 cm)
