Description:

Northern Europe, Viking and / or Medieval period, ca. 9th to 13th century CE. A trio of cast bronze belt buckles, each with a pin wrapped around a central bar. One is long and rectangular, with deeply incised anthropomorphic motifs on its wide sides. Another is of simple, roughly square form with curved corners. The third has an owl-shaped end with an hourglass-form for its open loop - this one is medieval rather than Viking based on the motif. Size of largest: 2.9" W x 1.25" H (7.4 cm x 3.2 cm)
