Description:

Northern Europe, Viking / Viking Rus, ca. 9th to 11th century CE. A group of four near-identical silver bracelets, each composed of a long, thin silver wire that is hammered flat at the ends and twisted into a spiral around the wire, allowing the size of the bracelet to be adjusted. These would have been a form of wearable currency. Size of one (they are all fairly similar in size): 3.65" W (9.3 cm); 30.6 grams
