Description:

Northern Europe, Viking / Norse culture, ca. 800 to 1100 CE. A gathering of three fine cast-bronze bracelets, each bent into a slight ovoid form. First is a thin band displaying rounded terminals, with spotted and geometric motifs in low-relief along the top. Second is a thicker band with grooved and segmented details, the bronze forming a stunning azurite-blue patina, indicative of a high copper (cupric nitrate) content. Last is a thick band with gradually-tapering terminals, a rough circular shape, and hairline incised linear and hashmark details. All three are wearable works of ancient European craftsmanship! Size of largest (blue patina): 2.4" Diameter (6.1 cm).
