Description:

Pre-Columbian, Valley of Mexico, Tlatilco, ca. 1200 to 200 BCE. A sizeable, hand-built bust of a pretty lady presenting expressive facial features and a decorative headdress. Nubbin arms held outwards, the ancient figure exhibits traditional Tlatilco characteristics of a large head, huge, heavy-lidded eyes, a pointed nose, projecting lips, and drilled ears for suspending adornments. Liberal traces of black and red pigments embellish the surface of this lovely example. Size: 7.9" W x 8.8" H (20.1 cm x 22.4 cm)
