Description:

Pre-Columbian, Bolivian highlands, Lake Titicaca region, Tiahuanaco / Tiwanaku, ca. 600 to 800 CE. A hand-built pottery vase with a flat base, a globular body with a tapered shoulder, a tall cylindrical neck with a flared rim, and a pair of applied, vertically-oriented strap handles, all covered in orange slip. The interior of the rim boasts a register of concentric triangles and linear streaks, and the exterior boasts a tall register alternating between columns of zigzagging lines and diamonds. Size: 4.25" W x 5.25" H (10.8 cm x 13.3 cm).
