Description:

Pre-Columbian, Central America, Costa Rica, Guanacaste-Nicoya area, ca. 600 to 1100 CE. A set of 3 hand-built pottery vessels, each of a different form. First is a squat, brown-hued bowl with stone-burnished surfaces and incised rings around the midsection. Next is a spherical jar with petite zoomorphic lug handles, and the largest is a tripod bowl with a trio of abstract figural legs. Size of largest (tripod): 5.6" L x 5.5" W x 3.9" H (14.2 cm x 14 cm x 9.9 cm)

Provenance: private Lumberton, Texas, USA collection, acquired before 2010
