Ancient Southeast Asia, Thailand, Ban Chiang culture, ca. 300 BCE. A hand-built terracotta bowl of a squat form with a wide foot and a broad pedestal base. The bulbous bowl has a deep basin, a carinated midsection, and a flared lip. Repeating motifs of red-orange curvilinear motifs are applied across the exterior surfaces while the interior is adorned with bands of similar colors. Size: 5.375" W x 5.1" H (13.7 cm x 13 cm)
