Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Nayarit region, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. Attractive pottery female standing with legs wide aprat, holding large rounded bowl on her right shoulder, other arm to her side. She is shown with distended stomach, a possible indication of pregnancy. Nude above the waist, with vibrantly decorated skirt in red, white and black. Her ears are adorned with multiple earrings, large shell emerges from her nose, small rounded turban upon her head. A superb example! Size: 15"H.
