Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Jalisco, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A nicely hand built female pottery figure, seated with legs spread apart, with characteristic wide torso, nubbin breasts, attenuated limbs, circular shoulder appliques perhaps indicating scarification, elongated head with coffee bean eyes, large ear ornaments, incised coiffure, and open mouth. Wonderful areas of manganese. Lucite stand. Size: 6" x 4-1/4" at widest (15.3 x 10.8 cm)
