Northern Europe, Viking / Norse culture, ca. 800 to 1100 CE. This is a wearable pendant made from a Viking era iron forged arrowhead set in a modern sterling silver pendant bail. This particular shape with a board, flattened blade may have been a transverse type of arrow used for hunting big game. His piece is strung on a modern cord with a lobster clasp as a wearable accessory, and has nice signs of age, with a heavy and rich dark brown patina. Size of pendant: 3" L x 1.2" W (7.6 cm x 3 cm); cord: 21" L (53.3 cm); silver quality: 92.5%
