Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 3rd to 5th century CE; Near East & Western Europe, Byzantine Empire & Medieval period, ca. 4th to 13th century CE; A collection of 4 leaded-bronze, brass, and silver rings that are all wearable! The most impressive ring in the lot is a 74.5% silver Byzantine "crown" ring with a open work wire bezel or cage shape. The ring with the circular face may have once been inlaid with stones or enamel, and the thick ring with a green patina also once held a intaglio or signet inlay.
