Competition among Native American artists and potters in New Mexico is a serious business that can come with large rewards. During "Indian" Market an award-winning pottery vessel can command many thousands of dollars more than non ribboned vessels by the same artist. Hubert, born in 1965, is a noted potter and has had his works featured in Galleries across the country. He is probably the most famous of all potters from this little recognized Pueblo located near Santa Fe.

Provenance: private British Columbia, Canada collection, gifted from aunt in Tucson, Arizona, USA, acquired prior to 1994
