Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 4th century CE. A cast-leaded-brass fibula or brooch in the shape of a crossbow, so called due to its cruciform shape. A pin still remains in its original housing on the verso but cannot be articulated for wear. Size: 2.04" W x 3.16" H (5.2 cm x 8 cm)
