Description:

Roman, early Imperial Period, ca. 1st to early 2nd century CE. A free-blown, opaque glass unguentarium of a petite size, a thick composition, and a deep blue hue with faint trails of interwoven white glass. The vessel has a slight concave base, a piriform body that tapers upwards to a lightly indented neck base, a tubular neck, and an in-folded lip. The opaque white glass trails undulate across the cobalt-hued body and imbue the vessel with an elegant presentation. A finely-crafted example of high-quality Roman craftsmanship! Size: 1.375" W x 3.2" H (3.5 cm x 8.1 cm).
