Description:

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 2nd century CE. A mold-blown, translucent glass bottle of a pale green hue with a planar base, a four-sided body with a rounded shoulder, a slender cylindrical neck, a collared rim, and a wide, applied trail handle joining shoulder to neck. The handle has thick outer edges and a raised midrib which gradually flattens as it moves upwards. Lovely areas of silvery and rainbow-hued iridescence accentuate the vessel's coloration in a palette of citrine, sapphire, amethyst, and emerald colors. A beautiful example of fine Roman glass! Size: 3.125" W x 6.25" H (7.9 cm x 15.9 cm).
