Description:

Rome, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. An elegant glass oinochoe or pitcher presenting with an attractive aqua hue. The free-blown globular body supports the tall neck and trefoil spout. An arching trail handle rises from the broad shoulder and then folds into the rim. The surface of the glass is imbued with a lovely silvery iridescence that has developed over the ages and compliments the aqua hue. This oinochoe was used for storing and pouring scented oils, and is a fine piece of Roman artistry! Lucite stand for photography purposes only. Size: 2.86" W x 4" H (7.3 cm x 10.2 cm)
