Description:

Roman, early Imperial Period, ca. 1st to first half of 2nd century CE. An attractive flask that is free-blown from semi-translucent glass of a pale yellow-green color that exhibits an integral, vertical streak of aubergine coloring on one side. The broad, piriform body rests atop a lightly rounded but stable base and features a tapered shoulder as well as a cylindrical neck with a protruding discoid rim. Fine layers of windswept iridescence have formed mostly within the interior cavity and nicely accentuate the polychrome vessel. Size: 2.8" W x 4.75" H (7.1 cm x 12.1 cm)
