**First Time At Auction**

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A vibrant, wheel-cut glass cup presenting a hue of translucent green and 4 finely executed horizontal striations across its exterior. The cup has a slightly tapered, flat base and amazingly thin vertical walls. Nice earthen deposits are scattered throughout its exterior, while the interior cavity displays dispersed areas of a rainbow iridescence. Size: 2.5" in diameter x 3.5" H (6.4 cm x 8.9 cm)

Provenance: private New York, New York, USA collection, acquired 1990s
