Roman-Byzantine Period, ca. 1st to 6th century CE. A stunningly iridescent carinated glass vessel with vibrant golden, green, pink, and blue hues. This vessel has a robust, rounded lower half with a flattened bottom. It features a wide opening, enclosed by a thin, uniform rim. Its surface is quite interesting, with earthen deposits accenting its multi-colored iridescence. A true jewel of the past. Size: 3.25" Diameter x 2.7" H (8.3 cm x 6.9 cm)

  • Condition: Glass has been repaired from three pieces with faint break lines visible on the surface. Minor encrustation around its rim. Otherwise in very good condition with attractive earthen deposits scattered throughout its surface complimenting its iridescent sheen.
