Description:

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A cast bronze female figure, perhaps a goddess or muse, standing with her left leg slightly advanced creating a gentle S-curve to her form. She wears a luxurious high-girt chiton with a himation draped around her waist and drapery folds cascading over her curvaceous body, one hand grasping the billowing fabric hugging her hips, perhaps lifting it so that she can walk gracefully and avoid tripping on the hemline. The figure was cast in the round and her form begs the eye to take in her presence from every angle. Size: 6" H (15.2 cm)
