Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A beautiful cast bronze handle from a piece of furniture. The terminals are petal-shaped, and the sides flow upward to meet at the middle with additional petal shapes attached to a thick central disc. Imagine this handle on an elegant chest or other item in the home. Size: 4.8" W (12.2 cm); 4.7" H (11.9 cm) on included custom stand.
