Description:

Pre-Columbian, northern highlands of Peru, Recuay culture, ca. 200 to 600 CE. An intricate ceramic vessel with a bulbous body, a tall, conical spout, and a human head dressed in an elaborate headdress rising from the top next to the spout. A small strap connects the head to the spout. Two small feet are at the bottom of the vessel, as if they are emerging from the massive robe worn by the figure. The body of the vessel is painted with large, linear and triangular motifs in red and black on an orange background. Size: 5.9" W x 6.75" H (15 cm x 17.1 cm)
